The new agreement between La Manga Club and the Ladies European Tour, permits the Golf Resort to host the Qualifying School for the next three years. In December 2009, professional golfers from around the world will gather in Murcia aiming to participate in one of the major Tours in world Golf, with the top 30 ranked players during Q-School gaining entry to 2010 Ladies European Tour.
The success of the Qualifying School at La Manga Club last year was instrumental in the signing of the agreement between La Manga Club and the Ladies European Tour. This partnership has turned the La Manga Club complex into the official seat of the LET Qualifying School for the next three years, until 2012.
In the words of Alexandra Armas, Executive Director of the Ladies European Tour "Being a member of Ladies European Tour is very attractive and we are delighted to return to La Manga Club, a first class resort that understands the benefits of being part of an event of this scale and the added value that our golfers can bring."
Professional golfers around the world will meet in mid-December this year to participate in one of the major women's tournaments worldwide. In fact, it's importance is such that the top 30 ranked will obtain their Tour Card for 2010 season. However, amateurs will also have the opportunity to play along side some the emerging champions. After the conclusion of the tournament, a Pro-Am will be held on the 22nd December 09, under the same testing course conditions as the professional players experienced during the tournament.
From the 12th to 22nd December 09, all eyes of the Golfing world will be directed towards the Murcian corner of the Mediterranean. Practice rounds start on 12th and 13th December 09. The main tournament will be divided into two stages, Pre-Qualifying 14th and to 16th December 09 and Final Qualifying which will take place between the 17th and 21st December 09. Players qualify through each stage with the final 50 players fighting for one of the 30 Tour Cards available on the final day of competition.
Some of the finest players on both the regular Men's and Ladies Tours argue that the Q-School is one of the tougest weeks in the career of a professional Golfer, so expect some thrilling Golf.
It is not the first time that La Manga Golf Club has hosted such a high profile competition. The resort has played host to numerous national and international tournaments, including the Spanish Open, the Spanish Junior Championship and various Spanish PGA tournaments. The resort is also the official training base for the German PGA.

Official Ladies European Tour, Q-School - information
In addition to the Ladies European Tour Q-School, Murcia is also host to the Annual PGA Congress, endorsed by the PGAs of Europe. This is the third year that Murcia has hosted the important event and this year's Congress during November, is one of the most important for many years.
