ClubSecretary writes "Javier Garralón is Clubmurcia's Resident Golf professional. Javier took up golf at the age of 6 at Villamartín Golf Club. He turned pro in late 1989, obtaining the Spanish PGA and RFEG top category of Maestro in 1992. Mainly dedicated to teaching at some of the most prestigious clubs in the area, Javier never left the playing side behind, becoming Murcia PGA Tour Champion in 2003 and 2004, and runner up in 2005. Fluent in English, Javier will help you with his in depth knowledge of all the golf courses in the Murcia region. There are lessons at the driving ranges as well as playing lessons available at some of the best golf courses in the Region such as Peraleja, Roda and La Tercia.

GOLF LESSONS AT PERALEJA GOLF

This promises to be one of Murcia’s most exclusive new Golf Resorts. Severiano Ballesteros, one of the greatest ever golfers, has designed, planned and supervised this golf course. The design of the course is a combination of his long experience in international tournaments and of the over 30 golf courses he has already designed all over the world. Club de Golf la Peraleja has 18 holes, a distance of 6,250 meters, Par 72, configured of gently undulating land and strategically placed obstacles, challenging any golfer throughout the round. Moreover, Club de Golf la Peraleja is equipped with all kind of services and facilities to satisfy even the most demanding users and visitors. Playing golf here is a unique experience.

LESSONS AT THE DRIVING RANGE

Clinic 1 person:
- 1 hour 30 minutes: 60€

Clinic 1 or 2 persons:
- 2 hours: 80€

Golf clinics de golf include a comprehensive review of the long game (irons and woods) and the short game (putting, chipping, pitching and bunker play).

Golf clubs (if requested) are included in the price. Practice balls are extra.

Playing lessons focus on course management and strategy, club selection and the Rules of Golf Etiquette. Swing changes, faults and cures are not the priority of this package.

Playing lessons (1 person):
- 9 holes: 33€ / hour (approx. 2 hours).
- 18 holes: 27€ / hour (approx. 4 hours).

Green fee not included. Special Clubmurcia price 58€ (18 holes). A reduced special green fee for 9 holes is also available exclusively for this promotion.

PLAYING LESSONS AT RODA GOLF

The 18-hole par 72 (6,137 meters) golf course was designed by Dave Thomas, one of the most prestigious European golf designers. He said that he was very satisfied with his ability to transform a practically level land into a waved golf course. Lakes have been located in strategic places and the layout was created by combining different environments and working with and adaptation to the Mediterranean landscape and vegetation. The Golf Course Designer, Dave Thomas Limited, has been fortunate in this project to be able to import sufficient fill to change flat low-lying ground into interesting and undulating golf terrain which aims to be pleasing to the eye and challenging for the golfers. Roda Golf´s use of lakes optimize the views from the hotel and country club as well as playing an important part in the golf design. Roda Golf has quite rightly placed a great deal of emphasis on landscaping and tree planting and this has been integrated with considerable care into the golf design. Golfers will find Roda Golf Resort the perfect spot to put their skills into practice.

La Tercia Golf Resort is a new golf resort in Murcia with a 9 hole golf course, sports area & commercial centre. The golf course is designed for the pleasure and enjoyment of playing golf freely and also the safety and security of the residential area which envelops the course. Rather than length, the course relies on numerous subtle strategic elements to challenge golfers.
