MG Orender - The new Director of La Manga Club


The Board of Directors of La Manga Club has appointed MG Orender, former President of PGA of America, as a new director adding his expertise to the prestigious marina resort on the Mediterranean coast .

Mr Orender is one of the most recognized names in the world of Golf and has a prestigious and renowned curriculum and which includes his position as President of the PGA of America during 2003 and 2004.

Mr Orender currently holds the post of President of Hampton Golf Clubs and during his 30 year career , has overseen the construction of more than 21 Golf Courses in different countries. He also directed approximately 40 Golf Clubs and during his time as president of the PGA of America, worked to increase golf participation. In 2005, Mr Orender was admitted as a member of the PGA Golf Professional Hall of Fame.

Mr PY Gerbeau, President of La Manga Club said: "MG Orender will provide his expertise and experience in the world of golf to advise La Manga Club in the process of transforming our resort in one of Europe's best golf destinations . The appointment of Mr. Orender, as well as the leadership of the new management team and financial restructuring, demonstrate our commitment to achieving the repositioning of La Manga in the short and medium term."

Mr Orender joins the team of La Manga Club following the incorporation of Mr PY Gerbeau as President and José Asenjo Vera as Director General of La Manga Club.
  
Located between the Mediterranean and nearby hills with an area almost 3 times the Principality of Monaco, La Manga Club has recently acquired the award from the prestigious Today's Golfer magazine as "Best resort in Spain 2013". The renowed sports complex with 8 Football Pitches has also hosted teams like FC Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund in the last 2 months.
