Places to Visit: San Pedro del Pinatar

San Pedro del Pinatar, which means St. Peter of the Pine Woods, is located on the Mediterranean coast, beside a Nature Reserve Regional Park just above the Northern shores of salt water lake Mar Menor.

Its population of 5,200 increases up to 60,000 during summertime, attracting both locals and tourists alike. The city infrastructure in this resort town is well developed, especially in the suburb of Lo Pagan where you can find lengthy beachfronts, marinas and a dazzling promenade. In spite of these changes, San Pedro del Pinatar has also retained much of its tradition and culture.

San Pedro is famous for its exceptional shops and recreational facilities where visitors can relax and have a good time. It has a weekly street market and a shopping centre (Dos Mares) that tourists love to visit. Visitors will find it easy to reach. They could also enjoy the festival spectacles and the sumptuous food available in restaurants and tapas bars.

The sun shines on San Pedro del Pinatar for more than 320 days a year and winters are typically very mild. A visit to this town is ideal for people who love to stay warm.

San Pedro del Pinatar’s nearest airport is San Javier international airport, just 10 minutes away.
